The category a specific hazard is in does not make it any more or less dangerous than any other hazard in any of the categories. Every hazard has the potential to be the worst depending on your personal situation. To people living next to a junkyard burning waste oil and smelting metal it can be worse than living next to a Superfund site. We created these categories based on our experience over the past thirty years where we saw the greatest amount of the greatest amount of people affected by a specific hazard and listed them that way.
